Since 2005 parishoners of St. Herman Orthodox Church in conjunction with parishoners from St. Tikhon Orthodox Church in Anchorage, have finacially supported a special needs orphanage, in the region of Ioshkar-Ola, which is approximately 600 miles east of Moscow.
This orphanage takes children that are virtually not adoptable due to medical or psychological reasons, and cares for them, with very little money being provided for their well being. If you wish to donate to this orphanage you may send a check, or call with a credit card number.
